Rob Akins Tee-It-Up Junior Golf Camps

The 2012 Season is exciting for Junior Golf at the Academy as juniors new  to golf seek to learn the game!

The Rob Akins Golf Academy, through Teaching Professional Jennifer Hudson, is excited to offer Tee-It-Up Golf Camps for beginner junior golfers. These camps are geared for juniors ages 5 through 8 and are co-ed camp experiences!

We invite you to review the camp dates, times and details below. If you would like to sign up for a camp, please email Jennifer at: jennifer@akinsgolf.com or reach the Golf Shop at: 901-853-5650.

The Tee-It-Up Philosophy
Our number one goal is to help your junior gain an interest in golf as a fun and social sport that they will grow to love! We want to instill fundamentals of the golf swing but really teach juniors the golf game and etiquette through fun competitions, unusual drills and on course play time. This camp is about making golf engaging and rewarding so we can continue to build the next generation of golfers! In short, we want Juniors to feel confident to "Tee-It-Up" and go play with their friends!

A Typical Tee-It-Up Camp Day
All campers arrive in front of the Golf Shop. Several stations are set up to encourage drills, games, team challenges and mini competitions where juniors learn from doing and reacting. A typical day would go as follows:

9:00-9:30 a.m. Putting Station
9:30-10:00 a.m. Chipping Station
10:00 -10:20 a.m. Break/Snack/Bathroom
10:20-11:00 a.m. Pitching and Iron Station
11:00-11:30 a.m. Driving Station
11:30-12:00 p.m. Play Hole 1
